Environmental Innitiatives at GCC innova
At GCC innova we take environmental concerns seriously. We have various initiatives,
some of which are outlined below
- Walk / cycle to work - 20% of our head office staff normally walk
or cycle to the office each day, others also car share.
- Work from home - 20% of our staff typically work 2 or more days/week
from home
- Recycling - Most office waste is separated and recycled.
- Energy efficiency - Our head office uses the latest high pressure
refrigerent, inverter drive, high efficiency heat pumps for primary heating and cooling. Ventilation
is provided via heat recovery fresh air units. The building management system control
is via a state of the art, web browser based, IP contoller for timeclock
and temp control settings. Henley house, our head office is a modern, well insulated,
double glazed building
- Energy Efficient IT systems - and finally, maybe obviously, we
aim to use the latest server technology which is significantly more efficient than
previous generation server technology.
