Welcome to this, the very first eUPDATE from GCC innova. This eUPDATE is part of our plan to improve customer service and communications and to provide an insight in to what's new and relevant for you in the world of IT.

During 2011 we've seen a significant shift to cloud based solutions, all of the main IT companies (Microsoft, HP, Cisco etc) are putting huge resources behind the technology and costs to implement solutions such as CRM are being significantly reduced.

The other big trend we're seeing at the moment is mobile and home computing. It seems that everyone needs to be in touch 24/7, iPhones and iPads are everywhere and Microsoft cloud email is down to £3.25 per user per month!

Computing in the Cloud - Microsoft Dynamics CRM

In the solution spotlight this month is Cloud computing and in particular how Microsoft Dynamics CRM can be deployed quickly and economically without investing in significant up-front infrastructure and licensing costs.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM covers all aspects of customer management, from the initial lead generation through marketing campaigns to sales pipeline and once the order is won then there's full customer service functionality with helpdesk call tracking and service scheduling. We are also implementing more and more mobile Dynamics CRM solutions via Blackberry, iPhone, iPad and Google Android smart phones, read more ......

IT support - desktop monitoring / new reporting

During 2011 GCC innova has been working on enhancing the support services for all customers. All infrastructure support customers now have 24/7 real time remote monitoring on all servers under contract and improved reporting.

As the contracts are renewed in 2012, GCC innova will be enhancing the service further by adding a monitoring client on to every desktop and laptop. Helpdesk processes to capture repeat issues have also been implemented, read more about support processes......

Sage 200 suite - Latest version brings new benefits

In June 2011 Sage launched the latest version of their Sage 200 software suite. Improvements included a completely new BOM module, enhanced reporting and better screen layouts with configurable window panes.

What's new at GCC innova?

Have a look here to keep up to date with what's new. We've just launched a new web site, with more information and updates - GCC innova.co.uk - and we're always looking for feedback. We're also busy improving out project delivery processes and project communications; everyone will be hearing a lot more of Paul Davies, our new project delivery manager, in 2012.

Our support contracts for both infrastructure / networks and for business applications are constantly evolving and improving, monitoring 24/7 and improving the reporting have been major pieces of work for 2011 and we've plenty of ideas for improvements in 2012.

We would also really like to hear what we can do better, let us know and we'll try to implement it, contact us ......
