Summary – Chart of Accounts

Chart of Accounts overview page is a quick way to view your chart of accounts in a collapsible/expandable list, which is very useful if you have a long Chart of Accounts.

With the use of filters, you can get a quick overview of a period of activities by dimension etc.

After Wave 2 2021 is applied you can access the Chart of Accounts overview from within the Chart of Accounts screen and select “Balance – Chart of Accounts Overview”.

When in the screen you can expand and collapse the records list:

And using the filters on the column headers brings up the filter pane where you can filter the values by dates/dimensions etc.

Using the above as an example a date filter has been applied for a month, so the columns now show:

• Net Change – Sum of transactions for September e.g. your P&L
• Balance at Date – Sum of the transactions to the end of September e.g. your balance sheet
• Balance – Sum of all the transactions posted to that account regardless of filters

You may not see the “balance at date column” in your list to start off with, if that is the case then use Personalisation to add it:

Then when personalisation is activated, use field (3) to display the field side panel (4) – drag in the fields you want into the template – then select Done (5) to save the template screen:
