Have you seen the new look Microsoft Dynamics CRM?

Summary

You might have noticed a new feature in your CRM, the new look button.

Microsoft is rolling out this change region by region, and if installed, it will show on the right of the menu bar.

What’s new?

Primarily the changes are cosmetic, and you will notice the difference immediately. The menu bars, views and form content appear in gently framed areas with a light grey background.

VS

Traditional Microsoft Dynamics CRM

A useful functional change is where you are viewing a long list of data (e.g. All Accounts).

Previously, you were restricted to a page of 250 and would have to click ‘Next’ for the next page.

On the new look, you will be able to scroll down indefinitely.  When selecting multiple records, you can now select as many as you like, by using Shift or Control, as you would do when selecting multiple rows in Excel.

Should I switch to the new look CRM?

There are some factors to be considered, as described here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/user/modern-fluent-design.

The main consideration for switching back to the old look, is that the new look does not support custom colour themes. All menu bars and titles revert to a standard black/navy. Dark mode is also not supported.

NOTE: Administrators can disable this new look for all users on your environment if that is what you would like.
