Summary

The ease of using Business Central to be able to open other records or see other areas of your accounting system without having to keep coming back to the main screen/menu has been improved again with changes to the “peek” function in Wave 2 2021.

When you have a list of data then some fields will show with a dotted line underneath them:

If you click on the dots then a pop up window will appear that gives you a quick peek at the related record.

If you wish to open that record then click on the solid line of that records number in the pop up.  The record will open, you can review or edit it as you wish and then when you close the related record screen you will be back to your list view.
