Summary

The deferral posting dates control function allows you to control the time frame used to control the deferral posting.

This means you can set different posting control dates for deferrals transactions, as well as standard, non-deferral transactions.

How do I do this?

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you currently have control of which transaction dates are allowed when posting. This is either at a company-wide level, in general ledger settings, or at user specific level via user set up page.

The same philosophy has now been extended to include deferrals. You now have different posting date controls for deferral transactions and non-deferral transactions, as shown below:

What are the benefits of using this?
