Save time when posting a number of transactions with a specific date in Sage 50 by changing the default program date in Sage 50

The date that appears when you enter transactions, is the program date.  If you want to post transactions with a specific date, to save you time on data entry, you can change the default program date, rather than changing the date on each transaction line.

How do I change the default program date?

1. On the menu bar click Settings, then click Change Program Date.

Change program date in Sage 50

2. Enter the date you’d like to use, then click OK.

NOTE: The program date refreshes when you open the software.  If you leave your software open overnight, the program date doesn’t refresh automatically.
