Would you like an easier way to navigate multiple open windows at once – How to use Task View in Windows 10

This feature can make your navigation of multiple open windows at a single moment, within a Windows 10 operating system, feel a little more manageable – and make for a much smoother experience – contributing towards increased productivity!

How do I do this?

You’re probably asking how do I go about performing this little piece of magic?

It’s actually very simple – There is an icon (highlighted in the image below) located next to the Cortana icon, which is to the right of the search box.

This feature is called Task View. This little icon is overlooked and often missed by most end users.

To open task view, click on the icon and then all your current, opened sessions will be displayed in one window.

Take a look at an example of this in action below:

From this point you can click on any of your desired windows to access them. If you want to get back to this custom view once again, then repeat the same steps from above.

How does this benefit me?

Task view is a very handy feature to use in Windows if you didn’t already know about it. It can simplify your navigation of windows, in the case of many individual open windows at a single point in time.

Additional Information

This feature is available in both Windows 10 and 11.

To access this feature in Windows 11, you’ll need to navigate to the boxed icon, shown below. The layout differs from Windows 10 but still functions in the same way.
