Business Central dimensions – How to add to multiple records at the same time

It can be time consuming to assign default dimensions to items one by one – we have the solution for this.
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, it is possible to add a Dimension to multiple records at the same time. For example, these records could be General Ledger, Customer, Item, Vendor or FA Cards.
To assign a dimension to many records in one go, you can use the multiple dimension functionality.
How do I do this?
From the List page relating to that record card, you’ll need to do a multi select for the records that need to be updated, as shown below:
Then from the submenu, locate the Dimension Multiple action.
The example shown below is from a GL List:
Then just add the missing dimension and dimension value and any rules. All the records that have been selected will get updated.
